The Neosho/Newton County Library is preparing to reopen, and librarians are asking for books to be returned.
People were able to have books checked out for an extended time since February, while the library was closed for construction. Although it is still not open to the public for the last renovations of the building, books should now be returned.
“People have had their books now for a long long time and their materials, so we’re saying you’ll get them back. There are no fines. We’re not charging fines to anyone, none of this is their fault; but, we would like to have them back so we can just get things on the shelf and ready to go for the big grand re-opening,” says Carrie Cline, Neosho/Newton County Library director.
The grand re-opening will be the morning of April 27th at 8:30.
