News

A local community college is working to help people prepare for standardized tests.

NEO is offering free GED and HI-SET equivalency prep classes. Director of Adult Learning Center Cheryl Martin says the university provides this service to help people so that they can pass the tests the first time. She adds the prep classes are designed for people that dropped out high school and who may need additional assistance.

“We refresh some of the things that they may have forgotten a lot of times it’s reteaching some of that stuff. And trying to make sure they have all the skills they need,” says Cheryl Martin.

Courses can last from 8 weeks to the entire spring semester. No pre-registration is required for the courses. To find a class near you, call (918) 540-6292.
