The City of Carl Junction has requests for residents impacted by Wednesday night’s storms, and volunteers wanting to help with clean-up Thursday.
Officials are asking any residents needing tree or debris removal, tarps, or other supplies to call City Hall at 417-649-7237.
If you are a volunteer looking to help with recovery, officials are asking you to first check-in at City Hall before going out into damaged areas.
City leaders will then delegate where volunteers are needed most and what services they can provide.
This will also minimize congestion throughout the area and help authorities keep track of volunteer hours for federal reimbursements.
All other people are asked not to come to the impacted area ‘to sight see’ the damages.
Once again, restricting traffic in the area is a priority during this initial recovery process.
