Nationally known comic book artist shares his work with Pitt State students

A nationally known artist that lives right here in Joplin spoke to a few college students about his work this evening.

Comic creator Jeremy Haun spoke to Pittsburg State students and staff about his life, work, and the comic book industry. Haun has been working professionally making comics for more than fifteen years.

He has made a few series of his own and has done work with Marvel, DC, and Image Comics. Some of his work, along with a few other artists, is currently on display on the Pittsburg State’s Art Department gallery “All Over the Page.” Haun says it’s important for artists to continuously make new things.

“I encourage people constantly to never stop drawing, never stop creating things. It doesn’t matter what you do. If you’re a photographer, or a painter, or an illustrator, just go for it,” says Jeremy Haun.

“All Over the Page” will be on display in Porter Hall at Pitt State until February, 13th.
