Joplin, MO-Missouri Southern State University replaced its existing degree audit system with the “Degree Works” program.
Administrators say the new program generates a full degree audit for each student with updates each day on the students progress.
Mariah Callari, MSSU Academic Records Specialist, says, “It provides a review of your past coursework, your current coursework, and also helps you plan for the future so that you can make sure you stay on track.”
Degree Works also shows which courses need o be taken and when they are offered, and grad point averages with changing grades.
Administrators hope the App will give students more independence and accountability in addition to work with an academic advisor.
Training classes for the new system are being held. Details can be found on this link: https://moso-minute.mssu.edu/index.php/2017/08/training-sessions-scheduled-for-degree-works-audit-system/
