MSSU refinancing project will save over a million dollars

News

JOPLIN, Mo. — A refinancing project will save Missouri Southern big bucks in bond payments.

The university is refinancing about 20 million dollars in bonds connected to the 2014 construction of the quad dorms.

Low interest rates prompted the move, and will save MSSU about one point three million dollars.

The MSSU treasurer says it’s just the latest move in an effort to reduce overall expenses.
