More Crawford County police officers will be on the roads, reducing preventable deaths

News

Starting May 20th, the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office, along with 180 other law enforcement agencies, will make sure drivers are using their seatbelts.

84 percent of Kansans usxe their seatbelts, but KDOT notes in rural areas, the amount of drivers using their seatbelts declines.

Authorities say they’re just trying to reduce the amount of preventable deaths by simply buckling up.
