MO Task Force One members to help with hurricane relief efforts

News

Several Southwest Missourians will help the rescue efforts on the East Coast as Hurricane Florence approaches.

So far, 47 “Task Force One members” are headed to Raleigh, North Carolina. The task force has an emphasis on water rescue, taking 14 technicians with boats to help. They’re expected to arrive in North Carolina within the next 24 hours, and will get their assignments once they get to the East Coast.

The team has also helped in the rescue of Hurricane Matthew in 2007 and Hurricane Harvey last year.
