MO DNR approves $2.7 million dollars to improve Center Creek wastewater facilities

A local water treatment board receives millions of dollars to improve wastewater infrastructure.

The Missouri Department of Natural Resources approves $2.7 million dollars in financial assistance to the Center Creek “201” Wastewater Treatment Board. That money will be used to upgrade wastewater treatment facilities, equipment and more.

The Center Creek Board will also use more than one million dollars from other sources to complete its project. Work should be done by January of 2020.

Loans like this come from a “state revolving fund” for clean water projects — that includes both waste and drinking water needs. Over a span of 20 years, the loans should save about a million dollars in interest.
