Missouri students can now take HiSET for free

MISSOURI – Missouri students who left school without getting their high school diploma can now test for free.

The nearly $100 high school equivalency exam is free the first time they take it, a change underwritten by Missouri lawmakers. And since the change went into effect on July 1st, any student who has paid for a first time test since then could be eligible for a refund.

Workers point out that you must register by phone to avoid paying the fee.
