Missouri House backs bill that would allow firearms to be given to minors without parental permission

MISSOURI — The Missouri House backs a bill that would no longer make it a misdemeanor to give firearms to minors without their parents’ permission.

It’s now up to the senate to review the bill.

House lawmakers voted to change the law over concerns that grandparents or other family members could be charged with a misdemeanor for taking minors shooting without permission.

This is part of the special session going on in Jefferson City right now focusing on violent crimes.
