Cattle producers in Missouri are getting some extra help and information to survive this year’s drought.
Two meetings will be held by the University of Missouri Extension in the southwest part of the state. The first will be on Friday, August 17th from 9 am to noon, held at the University of Missouri Southwest Research Center in Mount Vernon.
The second will be from 2 pm to 5 pm on the same day at the Livestock Marketing Center in Springfield. Topics of discussion will include supplementing low-quality hay, alternative feeds, herd culling, and fall forage alternatives.
