Mission Pawsible –spelled like a dog or cat paw — of Joplin is an animal advocacy group.
Officials with the the group are working to become a 501-c3 non profit organization, which will allow them to educate the public on their mission.
Their primary focus is to help elderly or sick individuals who cannot properly care for their animals by resolving whatever issue they may be facing.
Today’s event invited the public to bring out their pets, play games, and hear more about the group.
” Animal control is overwhelmed if we can help in any small way..then that helps everyone. If we can keep a dog from being taken from the home.. Joplin Humane doesn’t have to make room for it.” said Victoria Leggitt, Vice President of Joplin’s Mission Pawsible
They’re also hoping to start animal foster care, relocation, rescue from abusive situation and a social media lost and found.
