The Miami Chamber of Commerce puts it on for the community to celebrate the special day — with about forty parade entries.
Some of these include the area Miami High School Marching Band, Motorcycle Combat Veterans Group, and Disabled Veterans.
“It’s that feeling you get of pride in a community..that we are here to support those who got us our freedom and that’s basically it. We are here to unite we are here to look aside from everybody’s differences and celebrate those who helped get our freedom.” said Brandy Smith, Miami Chamber of Commerce
Smith adds the veterans parade has grown enormously over the past few years.
Since the chamber has taken it over, it’s doubled in participation and they are looking to expand it even more next year.
