An all-school reunion united all classes of Miami High School as they reminisced on what life was like as a former Wardogs.
The event, created four years ago, has evolved from being held at Miami High School to the Miami Civic Center.
Typically, reunions only involved people from the same class, but reunion officials say this gives people of all classes an opportunity to tell stories and reconnect.
Wardog memorabilia was sold with a variety of collectibles.
For those in attendance, they say holding the event at the Civic Center brings back a lot of memories, since their basketball games were held there.
Judy pitman, Miami High School class of 1955, says, “Just meeting the people and talking to them, I just saw one guy that I was so glad he’s still alive and I’m glad I’m alive too.”
Debbie East, Miami High School all-school reunion committee member, says, “There’s nothing like really getting together face to face, touching, listening, so everybody kind of has a hunger for that.”
East adds there will be several reunion related events held later in the year around homecoming, scheduled during early fall.
