Metropolitan Bridal Expo proceeds to support Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Four States

Proceeds from a wedding-themed event happening this weekend will be going to help a local charity.

This Sunday is the Metropolitan Bridal Expo at Downstream Casino and Resort. Admission to attend the event is a five dollar donation to Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Four States.

In year’s past the event has helped raise thousands of dollars for Ronald McDonald House. The money from the expo helps the organization provide housing and meals for families that have children in Joplin area hospitals.

“It’s so great as people come in and hear that there five dollars is coming back to families staying at Ronald McDonald House and you’re there and you hear people say, ‘oh I know someone’ or we see past families that come back and are attending the show and they’re like ‘oh I benefitted there’ or ‘I know someone,’” says Tara Horinek, Associate Director Ronald Mcdonald House Charities of the Four States.

The Bridal Expo runs from eleven to three and will feature roughly sixty five booths geared towards brides to be.
