Mental evaluation states SWMO murder suspect incompetent to stand trial

News

Results from a mental evaluation put a Southwest Missouri murder suspect in state care.

36 year old Willis Trent of Greenfield was found incompetent to stand trial and has been transferred to the Missouri Department of Mental Health.

Last September he was accused of killing his sister’s boyfriend Devin Hunt, after Hunt allegedly threatened to tell authorities she was illegally selling her prescription medication.

His father 49 year old Calvin Trent is also charged in the case and is awaiting trial.
