An Arkansas man drowns after slipping into a creek near the Elk River on Saturday evening.

According to Missouri State Highway Patrol, 37-year-old Sergio Constanza from Rogers was spear fishing in Little Sugar Creek, just 2 miles South of Pineville.

While fishing, he slipped into a deep hole of water where he eventually drowned.

Constanza was pronounced dead at the scene around 7:15 P.M.

This is Troop D’s 8th drowning of the year.
