Mail theft charges filed against a Ft. Scott man


Federal prosecutors file charges against a Ft. Scott man for allegedly stealing mail.

David Logan, 50, of Ft. Scott is alleged to have committed the crimes in 2017 and 2018 in Chanute. According to a release from the United States Attorney’s office, Logan was a contract driver for the US Postal Service at the time the crimes are alleged to have occurred. If convicted, he faces up to five years in federal prison and a fine of up to $250,000.
