Local Tribe to Recover a Big Piece of Their History

Wyandotte Nation has recieved a $20,000 dollar donation for part of it’s history.

Wyandotte residents will use the funds to head to Sandusky, Ohio to get a deed for the historic Wyandotte Mission Church Property.
This piece of land is recognized as one of the first Methodist churches in the United States and is on the National Registery of Historic Places.
Chief Billy Friend says they are looking forward to this trip.
The church is where many of their ancestors learned to read and write and was once in their possession.
“Fabi-Cash Sales” an organization that focuses on education or charity based events donated the money.
