BUS CRASH LEAVES THREE DEAD IN RURAL NEWTON CO AS BOTH BURST INTO FLAMES
• No one on the school bus was injured
• 2 persons in truck are from AR and a *third is unnamed at this time awaiting family notification by the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
(Newton Co.) — 4:20PM Wednesday, two children a driver and a bus aide were on a Neosho school bus traveling South on H Hwy, which does not have a traffic sign. A truck with three occupants traveling West on HH Hwy failed to yield at a stop sign.
Both vehicles traveled off the roadway and the bus landed on top of the truck. Both vehicles caught fire and burned.
The 1981 Chevy 1500 occupants were: Waylon Collins, 21, of Western Grove AR, Jordan Pospichal, 19, Hasty AR and an *unnamed third person (awating family notification according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol).
The two named persons who died are from Western Grove AR/area about 120 miles as the crow flies from Neosho. 50 miles South of Branson on Hwy 65.

Statement from the Neosho School District:
“We were recently made aware of an accident involving one of our buses at the intersection of H and HH. Emergency and school personnel are currently on the scene. Two students, a bus aide, and bus driver were onboard when another vehicle struck the bus. There are some bumps and bruises but we are grateful to report no major injuries for our students and team who were on the bus. We do not have information as to the other vehicle or its passengers.
This is all we know at this time but we will work with law enforcement to keep our community in the loop as information comes available.
