St. Patrick’s Day DWI Enforcement Campaign began Saturday night at 9:00 PM and around 9:30 PM an officer near Broadway in East Town observed a vehicle driving erratically. Captain Trevor Duncan shares the compelling story LIVE with Joplin News First Shannon Becker.
In this live video they are at 7th and Michigan standing in the DAV/Red Racks parking lot about 9:40 PM just minutes after it had occurred. It’s live and breaking news!
“One of our officers attempted to stop a vehicle and it fled. The driver drove through a yard and drove at the officer. A pursuit was initiated and the vehicle crashed at 5th and Michigan. The driver was rescued from the car by officers as natural gas spewed from a broken main. The driver is being transported for injuries from the crash and further investigation is underway.” – from JPD
