December 7, 1982 – September 7, 2018

Deputy Roberts was destined to be a public servant, serving his country from the heartland of America as an officer. His heritage was an Army family traveling the world while his dad, Darrell served at home and abroad. Deputy Roberts was born in Louisiana and spent some time in Germany as a child.

In 1994 the family settled in Springfield where he graduated Central High school in 2001. He attended the Drury University Missouri POST 740-hour Academy and graduated first in his class.

He came to the Greene County Sheriff’s Department in 2017 from Willard, MO where he served on the force there for nearly 4 years.

He had been with the Greene County Sheriff’s Office for about a year and he died serving the public as he always did, a daily hero (source in part: City of Willard, April 2017).
