DELAWARE COUNTY, Okla. — Oklahoma voters will soon have a choice to make for a permanent replacement for the Delaware County Sheriff.
Acting Sheriff James Beck will be on the June 28th ballot, facing Republican opponent Ray Thomas.
The position opened up back in December of 2021 when then-sheriff Mark Berry stepped down, and later was charged with embezzling funds from the Sheriff’s Department.
No Democrat has filed for the seat.
