The City Council for Webb City has decided to upgrade three ponds in King Jack Park with fountains.
The project will address issues with algae and add a decorative element to the park. It is estimated to cost around 13 thousand dollars. The electric fountains are expected to be here in 90 days and will be installed shortly after.
Carl Francis, the City Administrator says, “Put some lights in the park, LED lighting. And you know do it festively with different holidays. Fourth of July, red, white and blue fountain and Christmas time, just using the different coloring to enhance the look of the park.”
City workers point out this would be the latest in a series of additions in the park, including a new pavilion, train caboose and splash pad.
