KDOT adds new historical kiosks throughout the state


The Kansas Department of Transportation wraps up a one-point four million dollar project aimed at helping you learn more about the Sunflower State.

Using a combination of state and federal funding, 39 locations throughout Kansas saw new or upgraded kiosks commemorating historical events in the state. Locally, the kiosk at the roundabout in Riverton, near the intersection of Highway 69 and Route 66 was upgraded.

Another kiosk was added in Galena on Route 66, and signs were added to the plaza at the Historic Fort in Ft. Scott. State wide a total of 142 panel surfaces were produced.
