Under House Bill 2522, riders in the state can now take their license test on a “trike” style motorcycle. Prior to this, a “trike” rider still had to show proficiency on a two-wheeler to get a license. Motorcycle enthusiasts say this is great news for aging bikers who can no longer physically balance on a two-wheeled motorcycle. This was one of the laws passed in the last legislative session. This provision of the bill will take effect on January 1st, 2017.
