Kansas lawmakers say they don’t know if they’ll take the same stand Missouri and other states have taken on abortion.
This year, Kansas lawmakers only took up one Abortion Bill on both chamber floors. It would have required providers to tell patients that their abortion could be reversible. It was vetoed by the governor.
Last month the State Supreme Court ruled that abortions are a constitutional right and that’s what legislators are most likely to take a deeper look at. The constitutional amendment would be put to a statewide vote.
