After the FDA asked e-cigarette manufacturers to create ways to get the devices away from kids, one brand has redesigned the look of the package.
JUUL has a new look with a bigger warning label. The warning is now in block letters that take up almost half of the box, which states: “This product contains nicotine. Nicotine is an addictive chemical.” The box also includes a new slogan, which says: “The alternative for adult smokers.”
Less than a month ago, the Food and Drug Administration called youth vaping an epidemic, and gave manufacturers of e-cigarettes, including JUUL, two months to create a plan to get the devices out of the hands of kids.
