Joplin students could have more class choices next school year

Joplin students could have a new choice of classes next school year.

School board members will hear about the potential addition of a Human Relations course in the 2019 – 2020 school year. School leaders say the class would help students prepare for life after graduation.

“Making good decisions, and being a good citizen within your community and what kinds of things create a stable family life,” says Dr. Steve Gilbreth, Joplin Assistant Superintendent.

The Human Relations course would be open to 10th, 11th and 12th graders and would be taught by existing staff.
