DELAWARE COUNTY, Okla. – Sunday afternoon about 2:15 p.m. Oklahoma Highway Patrol were alerted to a fatal head on collision on US-59 3/4 mile south of Jay, Okla. The road remained closed until 5:30 p.m.

Sources on the scene told us two vehicles were involved and the Oklahoma Highway Patrol were investigating a fatal crash. Next of kin have now been notified and OHP release limited details on what occurred.

Nanette Jones, 64, of Eucha, Okla. was driving a 2019 Chevrolet. She was transported to Fayetteville, Ark. to Washington Regional Hospital, admitted in fair condition.

A passenger in the Jones vehicle, Shelena Jones, 37, of Eucha, Okla. was transported by Grove EMS to Mercy Joplin, Mo. She was admitted in fair condition.

Driving a 2017 Chevrolet was Haleigh Witt, 25, of Locust Grove, Okla. She was pronounced deceased at the scene by Jay EMS Paramedics due to injuries in the crash.
