MIAMI, Okla. — Shortly after 9:15 a.m. we received information that a body was located by a mowing crew along 69A in Miami, just south of E 90 Road/E Rockdale Road.

Miami Oklahoma Police Chief Thomas ‘Hightower’ Anderson tells us, “we had great help, Highway Patrol, Sheriff’s Office, Tribal Agencies, we work really well together in this area so they came to assist. We have called in OSBI to help.

The highway crew was out mowing Highway 69A, just north of the turnpike, and discovered a body there in the ditch,” Chief Anderson continues telling us after investigation it was determined to be a male.

Initially it looks like he was struck by a vehicle,” He says along the road they have found some debris from vehicles, including a mirror, so first they will determine what kind of vehicle that came from.

They are looking for tips. If someone knows a vehicle with unexplained damage. Contact the Miami Police Department

As of the initial printing of this article the identity of the male subject is unknown. The roadway was reopened to all traffic around 3:15 p.m.
