DWI rollover crash, Missouri State Highway Patrol investigate in Newton County

The driver, Rebecca Rodrigues, 48, of Joplin, was arrested and cited DWI.

NEWTON COUNTY, Mo. — Just about 10:30 p.m. reports of a rollover crash along Apricot Drive near Canary Drive. 

Redings Mill Fire, Newton County Deputies, Newton County Ambulance responded emergency. Missouri State Highway Patrol were notified. 

CRASH LOCATED ALONG APRICOT DRIVE JUST TO THE WEST OF CANARY.

Troopers tell us on the scene the vehicle was traveling east on Apricot. The driver left the roadway, over corrected and then overturned.

  • The driver, Rebecca Rodrigues, 48, was arrested and cited on the following charges:
  • DWI
  • Marijuana possession
  • Driving while Suspended
  • Failure to Register Motor Vehicle
  • Failure to drive on right side of roadway, resulting in crash.
  • No insurance

Metro Towing removed the vehicle and debris from the crash scene.
