Baxter Springs Police Department

We went to Baxter Springs Sunday morning and individuals at the Baxter Springs Police Department referred us to the Kansas Highway Patrol.

We contacted Cherokee County Sheriff David Groves who told us the same that it was a Kansas Highway Patrol investigation and ge was not able to comment. However we pressed further regarding anyone in custody regarding the drug seizure.

“At this time … No one has been booked into our facility in connection to that stop.”

We have not heard back from the Kansas Highway Patrol. No agencies are denying it occured. They are just deferring official statement information to KHP.

We will have more information when available from the Kansas Highway Patrol.
