Power outage in East Town

UPDATE: Power restored shortly before 11:00 PM.

JOPLIN, Mo. — About 8:10 PM we were alerted to a power outage in the East Town Neighborhood. We have confirmed about 1,200 locations are without power.

Our Liberty insider has updated us that emergency crews have responded to the area. An  update as soon as we hear more information.

9:00 PM: Liberty Central Utilities posted on thier FB page this update:

10:03 PM: We are now observing crews centralized at a small substation in the 800 bk east 2nd which actually is a gravel road to a dead end at the railroad tracks.

Kum and Go at 4th and St Louis has no power but the traffic light and other properties across the street to the south have power. 

East Broadway and North St Louis Ave the traffic signal is not working.
