Sgt Clay Collard of the Joplin Police Department updates us with information regarding what occurred. Dark colored late model Tahoe was a suspected DWI driver. The vehicle failed to stop for officers.
A short vehicle pursuit occurred that ended in the Emerson neighborhood. The Tahoe is in the alley between Pennsylvania and Virginia north of E 16th Street.
The vehicle was a single occupant/driver. “Suspected DWI, tags don’t match vehicle and improper registration,” states Sgt Clay Collard of the JPD. The male was detained as you can see in our live video on Joplin News First.
