Deputies were called to Freeman Hospital Sunday night, finding a husband and wife both suffering from a gunshot wound.
Deputies made contact with both patients, each 62 years old, and determined that they had sustained gunshot wounds from a domestic violence incident at 7829 W. Emerald in Joplin.
The husband was wounded in the abdomen, while the wife sustained a leg injury, each from a single gun shot.
Both are still at the hospital receiving treatment. Neither wound is considered life threatening.
The investigation continues.
