Joplin Health Department holds walk-in appointments to immunize kids starting school

The start of classes next year may be a long way off, but now is a good time to get kids going into kindergarten in Joplin immunized.

Walk-in clinics for “Kindergarten Round-up” are set at the Joplin Health Department for Wednesday, February 20th and Thursday, February 21st. Times for the clinics are 8:30 am to 11:15 am and 1 to 4 pm both of those days. Appointments are encouraged and will decrease the wait time. Students must bring a shot record before they can receive immunizations, and parents and or guardians must bring a picture ID.

For more information on the costs involved, you can call the Joplin Health Department at 623-6122.
