Disc golfers gather for a fundraiser to support a local charity.
The Joplin Disc Golf Club hosted a tournament to benefit the Ronald McDonald House of the Four States. Twenty four participants paid a ten dollar entry fee and brough paper towels to be donated to the charity. By the end of the event, a total of nine hundred dollars was raised. And tonight that money was donated by the Joplin Disc Golf Club.
“Because this is such an important place for us, it’s really neat that we can use this money specifically for those that are in need, that need to stay, that can stay here and not be able to worry about the money and the financial side of it. So, it’s really important to take something off their plate and let them focus on their family and their kids,” says Nathan Honeycutt with the Joplin Disc Golf Club.
The Joplin Disc Golf Club will host their fourth annual St. Jude Research Hospital Charity Tournament on March 30th.
