The Joplin Convention and Visitors Bureau and Connect2Culture are working together to put on the event. It will be called “Fiddlers on the Route” because of the Route 66 connection. The event will be free and according to organizers, it will be a very high-energy show– A show they hope will give route 66 travelers something to come out and enjoy in the evening.
They say the goal is about bringing culture back to town.
“Connect2culture is working to energize a lot of the feeling of people of culture in town and with this, the Convention and Visitors Bureau’s looking to bring things to Route 66,” explained Patrick Tuttle with the JCVB.
The event is scheduled for June 31st and July 1st.
