The Joplin city council is set to discuss revenue options as well as a large development in town at tonight’s meeting.
City leaders are still looking into more options to generate revenue. They’ve been discussing the issue for months now but council has not decided on any tax options to put on the ballot.
City leaders will also discuss an ordinance that would allow a developer to build a convenience store and truck stop on Prigmore Avenue. Developers are seeking a re-zoning ordinance to get city services to the area.
Council will also discuss options to lease a space with Missouri Place Properties for a new south police station.
We will have the decisions made on these issues as well as others tonight at 10.
