A massive Christmas giving program is spreading the joy of the season today.
The Joplin area fire fighters Christmas for Kids handed out countless boxes of toys along with wrapping paper and tape to families in need. Donations ranged from race cars and dollars to paw patrol figurines and bicycles. Fire fighters have been collecting donations, shopping and planning for weeks now – but say all the work is definitely worth it.
“I love helping people. I mean my job’s to help people. As a kid, I loved Christmas and so this has always been a great time of the year and what better way to to spend the holidays than by helping people,” says Adam Grimes, Christmas for Kids.
The group will continue to accept donations of cash and toys through December 23rd when they’ll make final deliveries of toys in time for Christmas.
