Jasper County Sheriff’s Office’s Community Safety Day aims to provide citizens safety information

Law enforcement invites the community to learn more about safety.

The Jasper County Sheriff’s Office hosted its eighth annual Community Safety Day in Carthage.

People watched K9 and SWAT demonstrations, as well as enjoyed food, face painting, and inflatables for free.

And with this event held every year, law enforcement officers want the public to not only get useful safety information, but also see what the officers do.

Randee Kaiser, Jasper County Sheriff, says, “Despite it’s been a little cool and a little bit of clouds, but every year we have a really great turnout and it makes me feel good to know that people are interested in coming out and spending time here, seeing what it is that we do, and get to know us, and learn about us a little bit.”

The Jasper County Sheriff’s Office is already planning for next year’s Safety Day and wanting to add even more events for the community.
