A local hospital is working to help students who plan to pursue a career in the medical field.
Integris Hospital holds a program called “Integris Student Governing Board,” involving select students from Jay and Grove High Schools. Today students gathered to learn CPR.
Heather Robinett has been participating in the program all year. She has career aspirations to become a gynecologist and says participating in the program has greatly benefitted her.
“It’s just made me like it or love it a lot more. I’m only in high school, we kind of have an idea of what we want to do but we haven’t had a bunch of options, but doing this has just kind of pushed me more and more towards it,” says Heather Robinett.
Robinett adds being among other students that are career driven has also encouraged her growing passion for the field.
