An organization is working to help fill a void in the healthcare industry in Southwest Missouri.
The Healthcare Career Expo held on the campus of MSSU today brought everyone under one roof. Students from several Southwest Missouri high schools and technical centers were on hand to talk with professionals in areas such as nursing, E.M.T., and respiratory therapy.
“There are schools that brought students from Project Lead the Way Bio Med, or health sciences but it could be just students who are just have voiced an interest in in the career of healthcare,” says Dr. Holley Goodknight, Carthage Technical Center Director.
The event was held in the MSSU Endzone Facility and was put on by the Workforce Investment Board.
