Cherokee County sees first covid related death

CHEROKEE COUNTY, Ks. — The Cherokee County Health Department confirms its first death from covid-19.

The patient was a man in his 70’s who had underlying medical conditions.

His results came back this morning, showing he had tested positive for coronavirus before passing away at his home.

Cherokee County has a total of 43 cases, 11 of those are active, while 30 people have recovered.
