Health system employees help save lives

Employees of an area health system roll up their sleeves to help save lives.

Employees in the Freeman Health System gathered at the west campus to donate blood. Blood drives are held several times a year.

One of the donors, Dr. Rob McNab started his medical career as a phlebotomist, someone that draws blood, before getting into medical school. He says you never know who’s life you might save in the process.

“This is a Level 2 Trauma Center, we have so many people in car wrecks with broken bones and acute bleeds and these are people who’s lives are immensely improved and saved because of people with the bravery to come and get their finger pricked and and have their blood drawn,” says Dr. Rob McNab, Freeman Medical Education VP.

Employees who gave blood received a free t-shirt for their donation.
