Whether you’re looking to build a new home, or just spruce up your current one, the 2019 HBA Home Show has it all.
Sheri Smith says just about every homeowner wants to make a change at some point.
“I think as seasons change we’re all interested in upgrading, changing our look,” says Sheri Smith.
And even though she’s a board member with the Home Builders Association, she says today, she’s also a customer.
“I always walk around, check out what’s new, what’s different, what everybody has to offer for us,” says Smith.
HBA Executive Officer Valerie Searcy says that’s the idea behind the annual Home Builders Show.
“It’s everything you could need for your home, from your foundation recovery, your septic tank maintenance, to the fun stuff, play grounds, interior design, counter tops,” says Valerie Searcy.
Searcy says the show brings together local vendors from all areas, taking the hassle out of building or remodeling a home.
“It’s all right here, in one building, you can talk to the people direct, they are here, ready and willing to talk to you, “says Searcy.
And she says using the vendors at the home show won’t just improve your home, it’ll help build the local economy.
“Our vendors out here are from this area, from the four state area, so you are using people from this community, you’re keeping your dollars here, and really finding those services that are right here in our community,” says Searcy.
And Smith says even if remodeling or building a new home isn’t in your plans at the moment, you never know what you might find at the Home Builders Show.
“We all have homes, we all have to live in them, I think that we’re all the time looking for new ideas,” says Smith.
The show runs through eight tonight, and from nine in the morning through eight tomorrow night. Its being held at the Northpoint Shopping Center, at the intersection of 7th and Rangeline in Joplin.
