Girard, Ks - Students and parents get back in the classroom today to focus on science, technology, engineering, and math.
Greenbush, the Southeast Kansas Education Service Center, held its STEM expo today to allow parents and students to see what this center has to offer.
Children kindergarten through high school could try different activities related to science, technology, engineering, and math.
Activities include dissecting owl pellets, building boats, and creating straw rockets.
"I used to be a classroom teacher actually and i really wanted to find a way to make learning fun and engaging and show kids that you can learn in ways that um is not just sitting down in a classroom." says Emily Roth, Camp and Rnrichment Coordinator at Greenbush
Greenbush will hold two more getaways this year, featuring an outdoor adventure and a look at their observatory.
