A pro-marijuana group sues the Oklahoma State Department of Health today.
Green the Vote, a marijuana advocacy group, filed a lawsuit against Oklahoma Governor Mary Fallin and five board members of the state Department of Health. The suit states that the Department of Health violated the open-government laws by holding a secret meeting to discuss amendments regarding medical marijuana regulations.
Open-government laws require public boards to give public notice and publish an agenda whenever board members meet to conduct business.
The office of Governor Mary Fallin issued a statement saying "the governor and her staff will review the lawsuit."
